Expedia Group is seeking a talented and motivated Software Development Engineer I to join our dynamic team in Seattle, Washington. As a Software Development Engineer I, you will be part of a team that crafts, develops, and manages top-notch systems that our people rely on throughout their adventures with us.
What You'll Do
- Design and Develop Projects: Dive head-first into designing, analyzing, and developing projects that transform Expedia's global requirements by refining our Workday/Service Now platform.
- Hands-On Configuration: Design, configure, and roll out Workday/Service Now module changes.
- Process Improvement: Think holistically to identify opportunities around policies and processes to increase efficiency across organizational boundaries.
- Systems Analysis: Assist with a whole systems approach to analyze issues by ensuring all components (structure, people, process, and technology) are identified and accounted for.
- Data Analysis: Research and analyze complex technical data using statistical methods.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Join our cross-functional team to tackle system and integration glitches and ensure our data's accuracy.
- Technical Support: Engage with our Devs, Product Masters, Tech Gurus, and Support Engineers to make those tech dreams a reality.
- Backlog Management: Support backlog refinement, spring planning, and delivery of committed work by providing technical suggestions, estimating required effort, identifying risks and dependencies, and surfacing impediments.
- Documentation: Craft epic runbooks, your tech recipe book for system TLC.
Who You Are
- Experience: You have 2-3 years of experience in Workday HCM, Compensation, or any additional module configuration.
- Technical Skills: You are skilled in crafting Workday reports and dashboards and have a good understanding of Agile Methodology, Software Development Lifecycle, SOX Compliance, and experience in tools like Jira & Service Now.
- Education: You have a Bachelor's or Master's in information science, computer science, or business, or equivalent real-world experience.
- Communication: You have stellar communication skills and can coordinate stakeholder input and collaboration efforts when developing solutions to issues.
- Problem Solver: You think broadly and understand how, why, and when policies/processes are standardized and when they differ across the organization.
Salary and Benefits
- Salary Range: €86,000 to €120,500 per year, with the potential to increase up to €137,500 based on performance.
