About The Team
The Risk Interactions Engineering team at Stripe is composed of backend and full stack engineers. We tackle problems through creative new product ideas and scalable infrastructure. Our work involves developing APIs, systems, and frameworks that coordinate information collection and issue resolution flows from Stripe’s users.
What You’ll Do
Responsibilities
- Design elegant risk-oriented abstractions for Stripe engineers to integrate with our risk management systems.
- Collaborate with engineers across product, machine learning, risk, and data science teams to ensure the abstractions you design are effective.
- Build and run systems that expose these abstractions in easily accessible ways to engineering teams across Risk and the rest of Stripe.
- Contribute to the overall safety of Stripe by helping teams think holistically about system risks.
- Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
Who You Are
We’re looking for someone with at least 4 years of industry experience in shipping high-quality products, who enjoys and has experience building scalable backend infrastructure. You should have strong analytical capabilities, be able to quickly ramp up in new areas, and tackle ambiguous problems. High standards in production systems and pride in ownership are essential, as is thriving in a collaborative environment.
Hybrid Work at Stripe
This role offers hybrid work options, allowing a balance between in-office collaboration and remote flexibility. Office-assigned employees spend at least 50% of their time in the local office or with users, while remote employees work primarily from home, with occasional office visits for meetings and events.
