Join Yousician as a Backend Developer
Yousician is seeking a talented Backend Developer to join our dynamic team in Helsinki, Finland. As a Backend Developer, you will play a pivotal role in developing critical backend services for our GuitarTuna product, the world's leading app for tuning instruments. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the user experience journey from the ground up, influencing how over 20 million users engage with our platform.
What You Will Do
- Design and Implement Features: You will be responsible for designing and implementing new features, ensuring robustness and maintainability.
- Testing and Troubleshooting: Write well-documented tests and ensure code coverage using frameworks like Pytest. Troubleshoot issues to ensure smooth functionality of the platform.
- Feature Planning: Participate in feature planning based on OKRs, driving the product roadmap forward.
- Support Monetization and Infrastructure: Design experiments and support monetization efforts and platform infrastructure.
What You Need to Succeed
- Strong Backend Development Experience: Proficiency in Python 3 and frameworks like Flask or FastAPI.
- API Development: Experience with REST-based API development and MongoDB or SQL databases.
- Cloud Experience: Familiarity with deploying scalable applications.
- Unit Testing: Experience with unit testing, preferably using Pytest or similar frameworks.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with monetization strategies, including Apple Store and Google App Store integrations.
- Familiarity with Unity and the ability to read app code.
- Experience with serialization frameworks like Pydantic.
