Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Backend Engineer proficient in Rust to join our Core Services team. In this role, you will be responsible for building, extending, and deploying scalable, robust, and high-performing backend services that serve millions of users in real-time. These services will form the foundation for new AnyDesk features, supplying APIs for both our Customer Web Console and the AnyDesk Client directly.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and improve various real-time backend services with millions of users.
- Create simple, single-purpose applications and APIs to solve critical business needs.
- Collaborate with client development teams to develop new features.
- Enhance CI/CD pipelines to improve software quality.
Basic Qualifications
- Strong skills in Rust or a strong background in C++/C/Go with a willingness to learn Rust.
- Proven track record of successfully creating and shipping applications at scale.
- Experience in architectural planning using SQL and NoSQL databases, messaging services, proxies, etc.
- Experience in creating and maintaining REST or GRPC APIs.
- Advanced skills in at least one high-level language, preferably TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Good knowledge of Linux systems and the ability to independently set up and maintain development servers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Basic skills in React or another frontend framework.
- Experience with different deployment methods – Containers, Bare Metal.
- Experience in debugging, profiling, and maintaining production applications.
