Join Our Compliance Engineering Team
We are looking for a backend software engineer to join our Compliance Engineering team at Spotify. This is an exciting opportunity for software engineers who are passionate about compliance and security, and who enjoy transforming large, complex problems into actionable, scalable, and reliable software solutions.
What You'll Do
- Design Products and Services: You will design products, services, and infrastructure that support, strengthen, and drive our technical compliance strategy. You will help define our portfolio of products for compliance.
- Build Infrastructure and Tooling: Develop infrastructure and tooling to apply regulatory requirements into our distributed and inconsistent environment.
- Drive Scalability and Optimization: Help drive scalability, optimization, and consistency across our approaches to compliance in engineering.
Who You Are
- Experienced Software Engineer: You have development experience with an object-oriented programming language such as Java or Scala and are comfortable with data engineering and analytics.
- Distributed Services: You have experience writing distributed, high-volume services and know how to deploy and keep them running in production.
- System Design: You have a deep understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms.
- Quality Focused: You care about quality and know what it means to ship high-quality code.
- Collaborative: You love working in an environment where you discuss and negotiate technical requirements constantly and can iterate quickly.
- Passionate About Compliance: You are passionate about enterprise governance, risk, and compliance.
- Excellent Communicator: You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including extensive experience meeting and presenting to senior executives.
Where You'll Be
This role will be located in our London or Stockholm office.
