Spotify is seeking a talented Senior Web Engineer to join our Amplify Ad Formats Team. This team operates at the intersection of advertising and user experience, connecting millions of brands to billions of fans. As a Senior Web Engineer, you will play a crucial role in defining and materializing our vision to enhance the ad experience for both users and advertisers.
What You'll Do
- Contribute to a Cross-Functional Team: Work within the Ad Formats team across the development stack, solving large-scale problems for our users.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with engineering squads across Spotify to support and educate them on our portfolio of ad formats.
- Promote Engineering Excellence: Drive work on technical strategy and roadmaps, promoting sound engineering practices.
Who You Are
- Experienced JavaScript Developer: You have over 5 years of experience in JavaScript development, with expertise in React.js, Node.js, and GraphQL. Familiarity with Next.js, Java, Spring, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a plus.
- Leadership in Codebase Management: You have led the decomposition and upgrading of large frontend codebases to micro frontends.
- Autonomous and Team-Oriented: You take full ownership of your work, driving personal development while valuing team success over personal success.
- Strong Communicator: You are an empathetic listener and a good communicator, capable of anticipating the needs of partners.
- Technical Expertise: You have a deep understanding of JavaScript design patterns, data structures, and web architecture, applying them to design pragmatic solutions.
- Agile and Iterative: You thrive in environments where you can deliver and iterate quickly, having led large complex multi-team refactors across domains.
- API and System Development: Experience working directly with partners to understand, document, and develop APIs and systems to meet their requirements.

This role can be based anywhere within the North America region where Spotify has a work location, operating within the Eastern Standard time zone for collaboration. Compensation and Benefits
The base salary range for this position in the United States is $156,275 - $223,250, plus equity. Benefits include health insurance, six-month paid parental leave, a 401(k) retirement plan, a monthly meal allowance, 23 paid days off, and 13 paid flexible holidays. Placement within this range depends on relevant work history and interview performance.
