Job Description
Amazon Lab126 is seeking a talented Connectivity Algorithms Software Engineer to join our Device Connectivity team in Sunnyvale, California. As part of our innovative research and development team, you will be responsible for designing and engineering high-profile consumer electronic devices, including Fire tablets, Kindle e-readers, Amazon Fire TV, and Amazon Echo.
Key Responsibilities
- Software and Firmware Development: Create world-class software and firmware to implement wireless features on Amazon devices.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Interact with cross-functional engineering teams across the company to address critical design issues involving multi-radio coexistence, antenna configuration, and overall system performance.
- Design Reviews: Participate in design reviews and influence wireless system architecture and the selection of wireless chipsets.
- Collaboration with Silicon Partners: Work with silicon partners to define and optimize wireless HW/SW architecture and implementation.
- Technology Readiness: Address all aspects of technology readiness, including manufacturability.
- Methodology and Processes: Help build robust methodology and processes to deliver technology to products.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Knowledge of ARM CPUs.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Master's degree in computer science or equivalent.

Compensation
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
