About the Role
Nike is seeking a talented Data Engineer - Consumer to join our dynamic Software & Data Engineering team. This role is pivotal in building first-class data solutions for Nike Technology and its business partners. You will be responsible for developing and enhancing data products that capture consumer behavior events from our experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and incorporate automated unit tests and participate in integration testing efforts.
- Troubleshoot data issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Work across teams to resolve operational and performance issues.
- Propose solutions and designs to reduce performance issues and improve efficiency.
- Perform cost analysis across data products.
What You Bring
- BS degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Programming experience in Python or Scala.
- Experience building domain-driven Microservices.
- Experience with data modeling in different data stores.
- Experience working with Big Data processing frameworks such as Spark, Hive, etc.
- Experience with Big Data streaming frameworks such as Nifi, Spark-Streaming, Flink, etc.
- Experience with Big Data streaming services such as Kinesis, Kafka, etc.
- Experience with performance and scalability tuning.
- Experience working in a public cloud environment, particularly AWS.
- Familiarity with practices like Continuous Development, Continuous Integration, and Automated Testing.
- Familiarity with Git and version control.
