Job Description
BeFrank is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our small but dynamic data team as we launch our new data platform. This role is perfect for a self-starter who is eager to build and enhance our data solutions. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for developing data solutions on our platform, collaborating closely with team members, and contributing to the enrichment of our data platform.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement data solutions on the platform.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance the data platform.
- Design and apply testing strategies, integrating them into the CI/CD process.
- Work independently while contributing to team goals.
- Transform raw data into actionable insights using tools like PowerBI.
Additional Role: Test Engineer
- Responsible for Quality Assurance and automated testing of developed solutions.
- Design and implement various test types (end-to-end, unit, integration, etc.).
- Integrate tests into the CI/CD process to ensure reliable releases.
Requirements
- HBO/WO level of education and relevant work experience.
- Proficiency in the Azure Data Stack (Azure Synapse Analytics, Data Factory, Databricks).
- Experience with SQL, Python (PySpark, Scala, or Java is a plus).
- Knowledge of performance optimization and monitoring of ETL pipelines.
- Ability to translate business requirements into data products.
- Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases, DWHs, Hadoop, Spark, Hive, etc.
- Fluent in Dutch, as all communication is in Dutch.
Team and Culture
You will be part of a data team that includes an architect, project manager, data scientist, and two other data engineers. We work according to the Agile Scrum methodology.
