About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Data Platform Engineer to join our Data Platform team at RTL Nederland. This team is responsible for the deployment and maintenance of data-related open-source tools, development of in-house data solutions, and management of infrastructure related to data.
Key Responsibilities
- Deployment and Maintenance: You will be responsible for deploying and maintaining data-related open-source tools such as Airflow and DataHub.
- Development: Develop, deploy, and maintain in-house data solutions written in Python.
- Infrastructure Management: Maintain and develop infrastructure related to data, including cloud storage solutions and data access policies.
- Monitoring: Directly monitor and maintain several data-related services to ensure smooth operations.
Your Profile
- Experience: Proven experience in managing and maintaining corporate-level cloud platform environments.
- Migration Processes: Experience in migration processes and management of cloud storage solutions.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Terraform. Familiarity with Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, Delta Lake, and a high-quality software development mindset.
- Security: A security-aware cloud development mindset is essential.
- Tools and Technologies: Experience with Airflow, Argo (Events, CD, Workflow), Databricks, and Spark is a plus. Knowledge of Azure, Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, and Helm is advantageous.
