As a Cloud Database Engineer at De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the continuity of our data processing services. Key Responsibilities
- Design, Implement, and Manage Cloud Databases: You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based database systems on Microsoft Azure. This includes ensuring that our data infrastructure is secure, scalable, and efficient.
- Collaborate with Agile Teams: Work closely with other Agile teams to develop a future-proof technical environment. You will also assist team members in solving complex problems.
- Develop Cloud Solutions: Design and develop cloud solutions for central databases, ensuring they are well-documented and manageable.
- Cloud Migration Strategy: Determine and execute cloud migration strategies.
Work Environment
You will be part of the Data & Information Technology (DIT) division within the Data Services department, which is responsible for bank-wide data services. This includes receiving, processing, storing, forwarding, and analyzing both structured and unstructured data. You will work in a small team but collaborate closely with larger teams within the department.
Hybrid Work Model
DNB offers a hybrid work model. Our office in Amsterdam serves as our home base, where we meet, share knowledge, and collaborate. However, there is also flexibility to choose a workplace and time that best suits your work needs.
Required Skills and Experience
- Experience: At least 5 years of development experience, with a minimum of 3 years in Azure DevOps.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of Azure SQL database auditing, Azure temporal tables, ERD modeling, and T-SQL scripting. Experience with Azure Pipelines using Bicep files (CI/CD).
- Database and Cloud Technology: Experience in database management, cloud technology, and data migration projects.
- Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in data migration and transformation tools such as Azure ADF, Synapse, or Databricks.
- Languages: Proficiency in Dutch and English at a minimum B2 level.
