Join Moloco as a Data Science Intern
Moloco is seeking a motivated and talented Data Science Intern to join our Data Science and Analytics (DSA) team. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work on impactful projects that drive performance improvement and cost efficiency in our products. You will gain hands-on experience with machine learning systems and provide data-driven insights and scientific solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Ad-Tech Stack Improvement: Work on and enhance various components of our ad-tech stack, including ranking, retrieval, auction/bidding, and budget pacing.
- Deep-Dive Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis to influence R&D decisions and strategies. Analyze large datasets, extract valuable signals, and produce actionable insights to optimize Moloco’s complex bidding system.
- Optimization Approaches: Design and deploy advanced optimization strategies to improve ad delivery, balancing ROI and revenue trade-offs.
- Experiment Design: Develop robust experiment designs and metric frameworks, providing reliable insights for product and business decision-making.
- Research and Development: Stay updated with the latest research in experimentation and causal inference, applying these techniques to business challenges.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to work from our Redwood City, CA office.
- Available for the summer of 2025 (May through September).
- Actively enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master’s, or PhD program in a technical or quantitative discipline, returning to school after the internship.
- Candidates pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree must be graduating by June 2026.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SQL, Python, and/or R coding languages.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, paying attention to detail and translating analysis results into business recommendations.
- Ability to work independently, owning projects end-to-end and solving problems with minimal guidance.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base Salary: $8,200—$10,000 USD per month.
