Job Overview
Join Microsoft as a Data Scientist in Product Analytics, where you will collaborate with engineers and product managers to drive product growth for the Developer Division. Your role will involve extracting insights from data produced by our products and experiences, helping to inform product decisions and strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Analysis and Modeling: Work with product managers and engineers to analyze telemetry data and user experiences. Construct product metrics and statistical models to identify growth opportunities.
- Tool Testing and Feedback: Test Microsoft’s data science tools and products, providing feedback to product and engineering teams.
- Data Acquisition and Reporting: Acquire necessary data for project plans, using querying, visualization, and reporting techniques to describe and analyze data.
- Model Evaluation: Understand modeling techniques, select appropriate tools and approaches, and evaluate outputs for statistical and business significance.
Qualifications
Required
- Doctorate or Master’s degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field with relevant experience.
- 1+ year(s) of customer-facing, project-delivery, professional services, or consulting experience.
Preferred
- Extensive experience in managing structured and unstructured data, applying statistical techniques, and reporting results.
