Data Scientist - Play X at Spotify

Join Spotify's Experience Mission team as a Data Scientist in the Play X division, where you will contribute to enhancing the audio and video playback experiences for millions of users globally. This role involves working closely with product, engineering, and design teams to ensure the highest quality of playback experiences and reporting.
What You'll Do
- Contribute to improving core and ubiquity playback performance across Spotify’s evolving audio and video formats.
- Lead the creation, validation, and monitoring of video performance metrics for non-mobile clients.
- Use data science methods to independently identify and work on impactful user problems for prioritization.
- Partner with other data scientists to design, implement, and analyze A/B tests and rollouts across formats and platforms, delivering actionable insights.
- Develop large-scale analyses, dashboards, and data pipelines to empower data-driven decision making.
- Communicate insights and recommendations to collaborators and stakeholders.
Who You Are
- Knowledgeable about data science and product insights, with experience in Python, SQL, and occasionally Scala.
- Strong analytical skills with a passion for solving complex problems.
- Able to work autonomously on loosely defined problems, translating sophisticated thinking into practical applications for diverse audiences.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong relationship builder.
- Comfortable working in complex technical problem spaces and passionate about product insights and data science methods.
Where You'll Be
- You can work from Stockholm or London, within the Central European and GMT time zones.
