Job Overview
Neoboard is seeking a Development Tech Lead to spearhead the creation of our cloud-based study session management system. This role offers a unique opportunity to potentially transition into a technical co-founder position, depending on performance and initiative.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development team in designing and creating the market product.
- Manage communication and collaboration between the founder and the development team.
- Participate in development from scratch and refine the MVP based on feedback.
- Maintain specification documents and update them as needed.
- Set up and attend all meetings with the development team.
- Lay the foundational groundwork for our development systems and practices.
- Fill in for missing developers as needed to complete the current version of the application.
- Attend sales pitches to answer technical questions.
- Interview and hire new developers.
Requirements
- 4+ years experience as a hands-on full stack developer with modern B2B SaaS applications.
- 2+ years leading engineering teams using Agile or Scrum methodologies.
- Proficiency in Python and NodeJS, with at least 1 year of experience using AWS services.
- Experience developing REST APIs and batch processing on AWS.
- Familiarity with AI/ML services on AWS is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to present to customers and stakeholders.
- Startup experience and comfort working in a startup environment.
- Deep commitment to helping students and educators.
Additional Information
- This is a for-equity position with a possible route to a technical cofounder role.
- Board of Director calls are on Mondays at 8 pm, and developer meetings for sprint plans are on Saturdays between 10 and 11 am.
- The position is remote, and the anticipated start date is within two weeks after acceptance following a 3-stage interview process.
- Expect to work 30+ hours per week.
