Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team, working remotely with occasional visits to our Frankfurt office. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in AWS Cloud services, software development, and DevOps practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Agile Process Support: Provide expert support in agile processes such as planning, reviews, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Software Development: Develop Java code and automated development tests using JUnit.
- Containerization: Create Docker containers and Lambda routines using Python and Python Unittest.
- Testing: Conduct and analyze development-related load and performance tests.
- Deployment: Deploy functional Docker containers and Lambda routines through existing or expanded CI/CD pipelines.
- Configuration Management: Develop Kubernetes configurations and Helm charts.
- Security and Error Analysis: Analyze and resolve security findings and errors related to deployed artifacts.
- End-to-End Testing: Create E-2-E tests using Java in the planned test tool chain (XRay -> Gherkin -> Cucumber -> SilkTest).
- Support: Provide technical support for pilot projects as part of 2nd level support.
Must-Have Qualifications
- AWS Cloud Expertise: Proficiency in AWS Cloud, including Terraform, Packer, and AWS CLI, with at least 3 years of experience.
- Software Development: Strong experience in software development, particularly in Java or Python, with at least 3 years of experience.
- Code Analysis Tools: Experience with automated code analysis tools such as SonarQube, Fortify, and Whitesource, with at least 3 years of experience.
- CI/CD Workflows: Experience with CI/CD workflows using GitLab Runner, with at least 3 years of experience.
- DevOps and Support Experience: At least 3 years of experience in DevOps-related, customer-oriented areas and support.
Preferred Qualifications
- Monitoring and Analysis: Experience with monitoring and analysis frameworks like CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Splunk, with at least 3 years of experience.
- Release Management: Experience with automated build scripts for release management across all environments, with at least 3 years of experience.
- IP Networks: Experience with IP networks, including VPNs, DNS, and load balancing, with at least 3 years of experience.
- Software Architecture: Knowledge of software architecture and automated testing, with at least 3 years of experience.
