DevOps Platform Engineer with Kubernetes

Join SAP as a DevOps Platform Engineer specializing in Kubernetes. You will be part of a dynamic team responsible for managing and enhancing the infrastructure of SAP's Business Technology Platform. This role is based in Sofia, Bulgaria, and offers a hybrid working model.
Key Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee infrastructure bootstrapping in a Cloud Foundry environment using Kubernetes and BOSH.
- IaaS Services: Adopt and implement IaaS services to meet client needs, focusing on AWS, GCP, Azure, Alibaba, and OpenStack.
- System Improvements: Enhance existing infrastructure components with a focus on availability, reliability, scalability, and security.
- Incident Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to infrastructure components efficiently.
- Automation and CI/CD: Develop and improve Continuous Delivery infrastructure using Jenkins, Concourse, and GitHub.
- Monitoring and Observability: Deploy and utilize monitoring tools like Grafana, Dynatrace, and Prometheus.
- Collaboration: Work closely with global teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of infrastructure services.
Required Skills and Experience
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in shell scripting (Bash) and Python. Experience with Kubernetes, containers, and micro-services.
- Networking Knowledge: Understanding of TCP/IP protocols, DNS, OSI model, routing, load balancing, and CDN.
- CI/CD and Automation: Familiarity with CI/CD best practices, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Terraform, and Vault.
- Linux/Unix Systems: At least 2 years of experience working with Linux/Unix-based systems.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Ruby or Go programming.
- Knowledge of ArgoCD, Crossplane, and Istio.
