Role Description

As a leading financial institution, we strive for innovative solutions that help our clients and partners with their financial needs. Our IT department plays a crucial role in ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable systems. To further optimize our infrastructure and software development, we are seeking a mid-level DevOps engineer with Python skills for the Self Service & Data Science team.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with developers and infrastructure teams to improve the development and release process.
• Play a key role in automating processes and developing advanced CI/CD pipelines for optimal workflow.
• Maintain development platforms and self-developed applications for data acquisition and processing, and integration with development support systems.
• Develop and maintain Azure DevOps deployment pipelines for our applications, focusing on maintaining control throughout the development lifecycle.
• Guide users of the Python development platform, including managing software through version control with Git and using DevOps tools to ensure code quality.
• Collaborate within Azure DevOps for smooth integration of new features and systems via automated pipelines and task management.
• Optimize and automate software development.
• Maintain and manage Linux environments for both development and production.
• Support business users, such as traders and portfolio managers, in developing tools and applications that assist them in their daily tasks.
• Maintain control over the use of open-source software within the organization to ensure security, compliance, and stability.

Requirements

Must-Haves:

• A completed HBO degree in IT, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Python skills at a mid-level (approximately 3 years of experience) and experience with process automation.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, including building, maintaining, monitoring, and logging deployment pipelines.
• Familiarity with Git or version control tools in general.
• Excellent communication skills in English.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Knowledge of containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Experience with Linux and maintaining Linux systems.
• Analytical and solution-oriented thinking with an eye for detail.
• Good communication skills in Dutch.
