As a Founding Backend Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our company and the services we provide. This role offers the unique opportunity to be at the forefront of healthcare innovation, leveraging AI and new regulations to empower consumers.
About the Role
As a key member of our team, you will:
- Define and execute the roadmap in collaboration with the CEO and the tech team.
- Own technical projects from system design to feature launches, ensuring high-quality development and implementation.
- Work on full-stack programming tasks, although the focus will be on backend development.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has at least 5 years of engineering experience, with a preference for those who have worked in healthcare or tech startups.
- Is driven by a mission to improve healthcare experiences and outcomes.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment and can navigate ambiguity with autonomy.
- Has strong communication skills and can collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in backend web development, databases, and system design.
- Familiarity with software architecture and design principles.
- Bonus points for experience with healthcare data, complex integrations, web crawling, or AI-powered workflows.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive salary range: $150,000 - $230,000 per year.
- Meaningful equity: 0.3% - 0.8%.
