Founding Backend Engineer
Roles and Responsibilities
As a Founding Backend Engineer at Retell AI, you will play a pivotal role in designing scalable solutions and shipping features for our production-ready voice agent platform. You will lead initiatives in backend and infrastructure, with ample opportunities for ownership and growth. Your role will involve close collaboration with designers and engineers throughout the design and implementation phases. Additionally, you will provide technical support, customer success assistance, and implementation guidance directly to our customers.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years in backend software development and system design.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Mindset: A founder-like mindset with a passion for taking responsibility and making a significant impact.
- Environment: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, quickly learning and adapting to new challenges.
- Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to commit to decisions even when there are disagreements.
- Bonus: Previous startup experience and cloud tech stack managing experience are a plus.
