About the Role
As a Senior Backend Engineer at Cabinet Health, you will be pivotal in designing, implementing, and securing scalable solutions for our patient health platform. Your initial projects will involve integrating our platform with external pharmacy partners and building automations for our team of internal pharmacists. This role is crucial for someone with a passion for sustainability and the potential of technology to enhance the quality and accessibility of healthcare.
Responsibilities
- System Integration: Develop and maintain integrations with pharmacy partners.
- Tool Development: Lead the creation of tools to support our pharmacy team, enhancing their efficiency and enabling them to spend more time with patients.
- Notification Systems: Extend our multi-channel notification system to ensure timely medicine delivery to patients.
- Recurring Billing: Implement and manage the logic for recurring billing to reduce pill waste.
- Data Indexing: Design and build an intelligent medicine search system.
- Security Enhancements: Work closely with our security team to develop test plans and address compliance issues, particularly with HIPAA.
Who You Are
- Experienced: You have at least 5 years of experience in backend system software development, preferably in healthcare, finance, or other regulated industries.
- Educated: A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field is required. A master’s degree is a plus.
- Skilled: Proficiency in Python, SQL, and API development is essential. Experience with Django and GraphQL is highly desirable.
- Remote Work Adaptability: Previous remote work experience or the ability to thrive in a remote setting is necessary.
