Join Landeed as a Founding Backend Engineer, where you will work directly with the CTO to design and build API endpoints using Rust and gRPC. This role involves collecting data from disparate, unstable, and slow government sources, and working on an asynchronous system for analyzing results and using them to seed subsequent searches. You will make full use of HTTP2 and state-of-the-art notification systems to send this information to the user as it becomes available.
Key Responsibilities
- API Development: Design and build robust API endpoints using Rust and gRPC.
- Data Collection: Gather data from various government sources, ensuring reliability and speed.
- System Design: Work on asynchronous systems to analyze data and improve search capabilities.
- Communication: Collaborate with frontend teams to ensure successful implementation and launch of new features.
- Customer Interaction: Engage with customers to build solutions that meet their needs.
- Business Logic: Design new products and their data flows, organize responses, worker tasks, and notification systems.
- Knowledge Sharing: Dedicate one day a week to writing articles on the interesting problems you have solved at Landeed.
Required Skills

Location
This position is based in Millbrae, California, United States, and requires on-site work.
Salary
The salary range for this position is €150,000 to €220,000 per year.
