Senior Rust Backend Engineer

GlobalLogic is seeking a Senior Rust Backend Engineer to join our team in Cracow, Poland. This role involves developing an EV Fleet Management product that offers robust services like transition enablement, fleet optimization, charge planning, performance monitoring, and regulatory compliance. Leveraging advanced algorithms and predictive analytics, our solution maximizes fleet efficiency and productivity, ensuring optimal charging schedules and proactive maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend systems and REST APIs for electric vehicle solutions.
- Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Optimize database schemas for performance and scalability.
- Implement integrations with third-party APIs and services.
- Ensure code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and continuous integration.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues in production environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with product goals and company objectives.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of backend development experience, delivering high-quality solutions.
- Background in software architecture and design.
- Proficiency in Rust programming, emphasizing algorithmic competency.
- Strong grasp of databases, both relational and NoSQL.
- Expertise in software development principles, data structures, and algorithms.
- Ability to communicate in English.

- Familiarity with Python for data science and scripting tasks.
- Problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Collaborative team player capable of leading technical initiatives and mentoring others.
- Scientific or mathematical background.
- Domain knowledge in the vehicle routing problem and logistics applications.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, microservice-based systems, and cloud platforms such as AWS.
