About the Role
Spot Health is seeking a Founding Full-Stack Engineer to join our rapidly growing team. This role is crucial as we scale our at-home blood testing service for health and wellness brands. Since our launch, we have shipped tens of thousands of test kits and are now expanding our team to meet increasing demand.
How We Work
- Our engineering team is fully remote, collaborating from various locations around the world.
- We utilize a tech stack powered by React, Django, Postgres, and AWS.
- We aim to provide an Apple-like experience throughout the entire testing journey, ensuring high-quality and seamless interactions.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Ownership: You will own and ship new features in Django, enhancing our service capabilities.
- Integration: Implement new integrations with partners and clients to expand our service reach.
- Infrastructure: Bulletproof our deployment infrastructure to support rapid scaling.
- Best Practices: Implement architectural best practices across our codebase to maintain high standards.
- Culture: Help shape our engineering culture, promoting best practices and innovative solutions.
Who You Are
- Experienced: You have a solid background in building systems for scale and are opinionated about best practices in software development.
- Detail-Oriented: You are meticulous and capable of spotting nuances that others might miss, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Proactive: You are scrappy, willing to tackle necessary tasks, and take ownership of projects.
- Bonus Skills: Experience with Django, CI/CD, DevOps, or provisioning resources with AWS/Terraform is highly valued.
