Are you a freelance DevOps expert with Python skills, eager to contribute to sustainable energy solutions? Greener Power Solutions is looking for a Freelance DevOps Engineer to join our mission of making the temporary energy market emission-free with our innovative mobile batteries.
About Us
Greener Power Solutions is a pioneer in the temporary energy market, providing emission-free energy solutions. Our mobile batteries can be deployed anywhere to store and deliver energy, accelerating the transition from fossil fuels to sustainable energy sources. We integrate our rental battery fleet with other renewable energy sources on site, optimizing energy setups with our in-house developed software.
Your Role
As a Freelance DevOps Engineer, you will undertake a 200-hour project focused on IoT device provisioning and DevOps integration. You will work independently while collaborating with our operations and development teams to design, optimize, and implement solutions that automate the management and updating of our mobile energy systems, including security patches and software upgrades.
Key Responsibilities
- Write Ansible playbooks to automate IoT device provisioning.
- Develop and enhance our Python-based update client.
- Rigorously test solutions to demonstrate their capabilities in real-world scenarios.
- Collaborate with the team to align efforts with operational needs.

Who You Are
- Python Expert: Strong experience (5+ years) in Python development, particularly for scripting and automation.
- DevOps Enthusiast: Familiar with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure management.
- IoT Savvy: Experienced in provisioning IoT devices or remote management of servers/devices.
- Independent and Proactive: Capable of managing your own workload while collaborating effectively.
- Availability: Available between 24 and 32 hours as of January, for a period of 7-9 weeks (200 hours).
