Role Overview
We are seeking an Automation Engineer to join our team in Ascoli Piceno, Italy. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting our operations team with tools and applications that meet their needs, as well as building our modern data stack. You will work closely with the operations team to understand their process automation needs and develop solutions that enhance efficiency and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the operations team to understand their automation needs.
- Develop new data sources and data pipelines to provide key insights to the company.
- Build and maintain test frameworks and documentation for our data sources.
- Coordinate with software developers to ensure seamless integration with existing infrastructure and tools.
- Maintain and further develop our existing data infrastructure and tools.
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong software engineering skills with a passion for writing high-quality code.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with web scraping and crawling libraries.
- Knowledge of SQL and experience in ensuring data quality.
- Experience deploying data services in a cloud environment, ideally AWS.
- Familiarity with Direct Acyclic Graph concepts and platforms for scheduling and monitoring processes (e.g., Airflow, Dagster).
- Experience with Spark is a plus.
