Role Overview

As the founding Growth Engineer at Census, you'll be crucial in driving our company's expansion and success.

From building micro-free products to owning our web assets or implementing new data processes across our GTM stack, you'll work with our existing growth team, Data team, product team, and Ops team to build experiments that drive user acquisition, adoption, and revenue.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute data-driven experiments to optimize user acquisition, activation, and retention.
• Build and maintain internal tools and automation to streamline business processes and improve efficiency.
• Work with our data team to identify areas for improvement and growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with marketing, sales, and product teams to implement and measure growth initiatives.
• Design and develop full-stack solutions using Node, React, and Ruby and build micro applications.
• Continuously iterate on existing features and processes to drive incremental improvements.

Must Haves

• 1+ years of experience in full-stack software engineering, with a focus on growth or product development.
• Experience in JavaScript (Node, React/Vue, Remix).
• Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Snowflake, Hex/Jupyter, Python).
• Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies and experimentation frameworks.
• Familiarity with cloud services such as Render, DO, Heroku, or AWS Beanstalk for app deployment.
• Passion for building products and experiences that delight customers.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience working on a growth team in a SaaS or B2B environment.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and experience with Reverse ETL.
• Familiarity with marketing automation tools and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Hubspot, Customer.io, etc).

Compensation

• $125,000 - $200,000
