Role Overview
As the Head of Growth for the Public Sector at iO, you will be the driving force behind our growth in this area. You will develop and refine commercial strategies for our clients and propositions, particularly within the public sector. Your contribution is crucial for the success of iO NL and the growth of our campuses in Utrecht, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Eindhoven, and Den Bosch.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coach the commercial 'public' team: You will facilitate and steer the team towards securing leading brands and challenging new projects, combining technology, creativity, marketing, and strategic propositions to offer our clients the best of digital.
- Develop comprehensive commercial plans: You are responsible for formulating business development, cross and upsell, and marketing activities. You will assess and prioritize opportunities to maximize business results, generate high-quality leads, and commercial opportunities.
- Collaborate across departments: Work closely with colleagues from sales and marketing, and actively communicate with campus management. You will bring together the right experts to develop custom solutions for client queries.
- Pitch and lead proposals: Regularly work with strategists, creatives, and software architects to pitch compelling proposals to companies. You will lead these proposals and create long-term partnerships.
Candidate Profile
- Experience: At least 8 years in business development within a consultancy or digital creative agency environment, with demonstrable commercial successes in the public sector.
- Leadership: At least 4 years of experience coaching and guiding commercial teams.
- Sector Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of the public sector including central government, local government, healthcare, education, government agencies, and NGOs.
- Skills: Strong communication and presentation skills, solution-oriented, result-driven, decisive, and persuasive attitude, with a closing mindset.
- Language: Fluency in Dutch and English is essential.
