About the Internship
Are you eager to learn about Low-Code Development in the Oracle Database and contribute to a meaningful cause? Oracle offers an exciting internship opportunity where you can gain valuable experience and create a lasting impact. As an intern, you will work with Oracle volunteers and the Speel-O-Theek in Utrecht to design and build a new application for managing inventory and the lending process. If successful, this application will be used in production, benefiting the community for years to come.
Responsibilities
- Investigate how Oracle solutions, such as Oracle Database and Oracle APEX, can meet the functional specifications of the client.
- Learn to program applications using Oracle APEX and Oracle Database.
- Take the lead in the development process of the new application for the client.
- Collaborate with Oracle internal teams to maximize the functionalities offered.
- Deliver a working application developed with Oracle Solutions.

Requirements
- Willingness to learn to work with Oracle Database, Oracle APEX, and Oracle Cloud.
- Interest in and affinity for database development, low-code applications, and application design.
- Knowledge of SQL and/or PL/SQL and/or JavaScript is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent Dutch speaker, as the main language of the application will be Dutch.
- Good (technical) English reading skills, as most documentation and training is in English.
Location
The preferred work location is a combination of Utrecht and home office, with Amsterdam as an option.
Duration
This is a 6-month internship, with a closing date for applications on August 1st.
