Autonomous Database Engineer (Cloud DBA & DevOps)

Join Oracle as an Autonomous Database Engineer, where you will be pivotal in building the Cloud service framework for various Oracle Autonomous Database cloud services, including Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW) and Autonomous Transaction Processing (ATP). This role involves automating deployment, scaling, and management of databases in the cloud, built on top of Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Layer.
Responsibilities
- Deploy and maintain cloud database services within the region, ensuring their reliability and performance.
- Assess and prioritize risks, communicating urgency to leadership and engineering teams.
- Implement and oversee production operations of a wide array of core system platform solutions, focusing on automation, self-healing, and real-time monitoring.
- Document incidents thoroughly through company-standard reporting methods.
- Stay informed of the latest developments in cloud infrastructure stacks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
- Solid experience with Linux and troubleshooting complex software/networking issues.
- Expertise in Oracle Database technology including RAC, Dataguard, ASM, RMAN.
- Development skills in Python, shell, SQL, Terraform.
- Previous DevOps or continuous delivery and deployment experience.
