Job Overview
Join Oracle as a Principal Software Developer in our Studio in the Cloud team, where you will be pivotal in designing, implementing, and operating innovative cloud services tailored for the digital media production industry. This role offers the unique opportunity to develop ground-breaking services like virtual animation workstation service, digital asset management, high-performance storage, and more, extending Oracle Cloud Infrastructure's capabilities into new realms.
Responsibilities
- Engineering Leadership: Take ownership of the engineering delivery for assigned software solutions. Collaborate with other developers, architects, and managers to deliver high-quality cloud services.
- Technical Roadmap Development: Contribute to the long-term technical strategy for your solution area, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify and address risks that could impact the team's ability to execute.
- Collaboration and Innovation: Work closely with various Oracle teams to innovate and implement features that meet our high standards of performance and reliability.
Minimum Qualifications
- 6+ years of software engineering experience.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Proficient in object-oriented programming languages such as Java, C#, or C++.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and computer science fundamentals.
- Experience in developing microservice-based architectures and REST API interfaces.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in building high-traffic, distributed services using public cloud services from major providers (Oracle, Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of media production workflows and technologies.
