Welcome to the Audi F1 Project. From 2026, Audi will compete in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship with its own factory team. The Audi Formula Racing GmbH, located in Neuburg, Germany, is seeking a skilled IT Server Administrator to join our innovative team.
About the Role
As an IT Server Administrator, you will be responsible for designing and implementing server and database systems that will shape the future IT landscape of the Audi Formula 1 Project. You will ensure the availability and performance of our server and database systems, supporting the high-performance Formula 1 development operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and design server systems.
- Install, configure, and administer virtual environments under Hyper-V for server and client systems.
- Monitor Windows and Linux servers.
- Assist in managing Active Directory.
- Administer database systems, primarily MS-SQL.
- Ensure 24/7 availability of development and testing systems.
- Support the management of our data center.
- Provide first, second, and third-level support.
- Create and maintain documentation.
Your Profile
- Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable IT-related qualification.
- Experience in server and database administration.
- Proficient in Windows operating systems.
- Knowledge of high availability concepts and backup & recovery.
- Strong IT infrastructure knowledge.
- High level of commitment, motivation, and flexibility.
- Independent, responsible, and service-oriented work style with strong teamwork skills.
- Willingness to participate in on-call duties to support F1 operations.
- Fluent in German or English, with a willingness to learn basic skills in the other language.
