Internship in Technology Development for Lightweight Metal Die Casting
Work Environment
Join our team in the Technology Development department where we innovate new technologies for lightweight metal die casting of structural components. From the initial idea to series production readiness, we work across locations to validate our innovations from lab-scale development to small series testing for large-scale application. Your tasks will include planning, conducting, and evaluating real casting trials, as well as optimizing processes and machinery. Data acquisition and analysis, along with simulation-based methods for tool and process design, play a crucial role. The insights gained are directly applied in our in-house production of small series components for RS models of AUDI AG, as well as for Lamborghini and Bugatti.
Job Purpose/Role
- Independently manage projects in the foundry environment according to your interests, prior knowledge, and strengths, with team support.
- Influence new development projects through research and technology scouting.
- Plan and conduct your experiments independently and share the findings with the team.
Key Requirements/Skills/Experience
- You are enrolled in a technical degree program, such as Mechanical Engineering, Foundry Technology, Materials Science, or a comparable field.
- Your work style is characterized by independence, motivation, and commitment.
- Your technical-scientific interest allows you to view and evaluate complex issues from different perspectives to find innovative solutions.
- You enjoy implementing your previously developed ideas in practice.
- Your communication skills enable you to share your insights with the entire team, contributing to "Vorsprung durch Technik."
