Join Our Team as a Senior DevOps Engineer

CARFAX Europe is seeking a talented and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Cloud Operations team. In this role, you will collaborate with software engineers to set up, debug, and operate our AWS Cloud platform. You will be responsible for automating and optimizing our processes, building and maintaining tools for continuous deployment, observability, and infrastructure management.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and Manage AWS Infrastructure: Implement and manage AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform, ensuring scalability, security, and cost-efficiency.
• Develop CI/CD Pipelines: Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment and release processes, enhancing continuous integration and delivery.
• System Observability: Monitor and enhance system observability by implementing and managing tools to ensure high availability and performance.
• On-call Support: Participate in on-call duty rotation to provide 24/7 support, troubleshoot incidents, and ensure rapid resolution of issues affecting production systems.
• Drive Innovation: Lead impactful internal projects and optimizations, leveraging cutting-edge technologies and adhering to industry best practices.

Your Profile

• Experience: Proven experience (5+ years) with AWS, including hands-on work with EKS and Terraform for infrastructure as code.
• Containerization: In-depth knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
• Monitoring Tools: Solid understanding of monitoring and observability tools, including Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or equivalent.
• Version Control: Experience with version control systems like Git, and collaboration tools like GitHub.
• Cloud Best Practices: Familiarity with best practices in security, compliance, and cost optimization in cloud environments.

Optional Skills

• Familiarity with NoSQL databases, particularly MongoDB Atlas.
• Experience with Akamai setup and management.
• Previous exposure to managed services, including AWS serverless workloads and Confluent Kafka.
• Strong Linux administration skills, encompassing shell scripting and system troubleshooting.
• Solid understanding of network concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, and VPN configurations in cloud environments.
