About the Role
Decisely is seeking a Junior Web Developer for a 6-month contract to support our digital initiatives. This role is crucial in assisting the Marketing department with lead generation sites and marketing-related web collateral. You will contribute to existing programs and help develop new initiatives aligned with our goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code using best software development practices.
- Create website layouts and user interfaces using standard HTML, SCSS/CSS, and JavaScript practices.
- Integrate data from various back-end services and databases.
- Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs.
- Create and maintain software documentation.
- Maintain, expand, and scale Decisely and client sites.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them to operations.
- Collaborate with web developers and Marketing to match brand intent and maintain brand integrity.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in web programming.
- Good grasp of front-end languages, HTML, SCSS/CSS, and JavaScript.
- Familiar with PHP or another server-side language.
- Familiar with CMS platforms – preferably WordPress.
- Understanding of web applications, including security and session management.
- Knowledge of relational database systems, OOP is desired, but not required.
- Familiar with Git and repository management.
- Familiar with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Familiar with web prototyping tools – preferably Figma.
- Strong problem-solving skills and creativity.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks within timelines.
- Bachelor’s degree or experience in business or a related field.
- Ability to work independently and communicate efficiently.
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding and use of analytics.
Work Environment
This is primarily a remote position, but there will be occasions when you will be required to come into the office for meetings and team-building activities, as well as travel to our various offices for meetings and team-building activities.
Physical Demands
The role requires the ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to travel independently to clients; some air travel may be required.
