Lead Backend Engineer (m/w/d)
Bling, a rapidly growing fintech company, is seeking a Lead Backend Engineer to join our talented Product Team in Berlin. As a Lead Backend Engineer, you will play a crucial role in steering and supporting our backend team in developing new features and improving our backend infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership: You will take on the technical leadership of the backend team, developing innovative solutions using Node.js and TypeScript at the highest professional and technical level.
- Architecture and Strategy: You will be responsible for the technical conception, architecture creation, and strategic direction of the backend systems. This includes coordinating backend interfaces and ensuring a scalable and future-proof architecture.
- Team Development: You will promote the further development of the team, share best practices, and support the personal and professional growth of your colleagues.
- Innovation and Collaboration: Drive the further development of Bling by bringing in your own ideas and fostering creativity and innovation within the team. Work closely with developers, designers, and product managers to make Bling the most popular app for families.
Requirements
- Extensive experience with Node.js and TypeScript, with a proven track record of leading technical development teams.
- Strong knowledge of databases such as MongoDB, AWS, Redis, and PostgreSQL, with the ability to make strategic decisions regarding their use.
- Experience with Docker or other container technologies, designing scalable and high-performance systems.
- A team player who takes responsibility and motivates the team to advance financial education for families.
- Interest in fintechs like Bling that are revolutionizing the banking world, with a vision of how technical innovations can contribute.
- Fluent in German and English, with the ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts in both languages.
- Based in Berlin and comfortable working in a hybrid setup with regular office presence.
