Your Mission
As a Senior Backend Engineer in the Custody team, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding crypto assets and enabling our customers to connect with DeFi apps and exchanges. You will work on building and maintaining the infrastructure that supports blockchain transactions, including wallets for Bitcoin, Ethereum, Cardano, and more.
What You’ll Do
- Develop new features and services for Bitpanda’s Custody product.
- Create scalable and maintainable backend solutions with an event-driven architecture on AWS.
- Work on microservices that support the core business services of the organization.
- Guide and mentor other developers while enhancing your own skills.
- Oversee the delivery of features from design to deployment and testing.
Who You Are
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, with a solid understanding of language fundamentals and programming paradigms.
- Experience with relational or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or DynamoDB.
- Basic knowledge of event-driven design and message brokers like Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Familiarity with AWS services, Node.js, and blockchain technologies is a plus.
