Agoda is seeking a highly skilled Lead Software Engineer to join our Back-End Engineering department in Bangkok. This role is pivotal in building scalable, fault-tolerant systems and APIs that host our core business logic. As a Lead Software Engineer, you will work on mission-critical systems that serve millions of users daily, using cutting-edge technologies to make a significant impact on our business and the travel industry.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop performance-critical applications in a production environment using modern programming languages such as Scala, Java, Kotlin, C#, and Go.
- Direct significant company-wide projects and set technical vision.
- Make architectural decisions, setting the standard and direction for the team.
- Implement advanced CI/CD pipelines and robust testing strategies to ensure seamless integration, deployment, and high code quality.
What You’ll Need To Succeed
- 10+ years of experience in software development.
- Strong RDBMS knowledge (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or other).
- Good command of the English language.
- Passion for software development and continuous improvement of your knowledge and skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge in NoSQL, Queueing systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, MSMQ), and Play framework.
