About the Role
As a Lead Software Engineer for Back End in the FinTech sector at Agoda, you will be at the forefront of transforming travel through technology. This role is based in Bangkok, and we provide a comprehensive relocation package to ensure a smooth transition for you and your family.
Responsibilities
- Architect and Develop: Design and implement robust backend systems and scalable data pipelines.
- Optimize Performance: Ensure systems are stable and scalable to meet the demands of the financial landscape.
- Lead and Mentor: Guide and mentor team members in coding standards and development practices.
- Collaborate: Work across teams to drive product and technology goals.
- Recruit and Build: Play a pivotal role in recruiting and onboarding new talent.
What You Will Need
- Experience: At least 10 years in software development with expertise in Java, Kotlin, Scala, or C#.
- Big Data Knowledge: Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop and Apache Spark.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead projects and teams.
- Agile Methodology: Proficiency in Agile development methodologies.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
It's Great If You Have
- Experience in a modern FinTech or Payments organization.
- Hands-on experience with technologies for data processing and queueing systems like Kafka and RabbitMQ.
- Experience with core engineering infrastructure tools like GitLab and Kubernetes.
