The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer – Back End to join our rapidly expanding FinTech team in Bangkok. This role involves developing robust backend systems and architecting scalable data pipelines and storage solutions. Your expertise in backend and data engineering will be crucial in optimizing our financial technology solutions and driving informed business decisions through reliable data insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Full Product Lifecycle: Own the full lifecycle of our products, from business requirements to technology selection, coding standards, agile development, testing, CI/CD, and monitoring.
• Platform Development: Design, develop, and maintain platforms and data pipelines across FinTech.
• System Performance: Build stable, scalable, and high-performance systems to meet the dynamic demands of the financial landscape.
• Mentorship: Write great code and mentor others in your team.
• Collaboration: Work with diverse teams to drive product and technology goals.
• Recruitment: Play a pivotal role in recruiting and onboarding exceptional talent.

What You’ll Need To Succeed

• Experience: 5+ years of experience with strong proficiency in Java, Kotlin, Scala, or C#.
• Big Data Technologies: Experience with Hadoop, real-time processing frameworks like Apache Spark, and advanced SQL and data architecture knowledge.
• Problem Solving: Exceptional problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset.
• Agile Methodologies: Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Operational Excellence: Deep understanding of metrics, alarms, and dashboards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a modern FinTech or Payments organization.
• Domain knowledge in financial reconciliation, reporting, tax, or payout methods.
• Hands-on experience with Spark, ETLs, and queueing systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Experience with core engineering infrastructure tools like GitLab and Kubernetes.
• Experience in leading projects or teams with full ownership of systems.
