About the Role
As a Lead Software Engineer for Back End in the FinTech sector at Agoda, you will be at the forefront of driving technical innovation. This role is based in Bangkok, and we provide relocation assistance to ensure a smooth transition for you and your family.
Responsibilities
- Lead Development: Spearhead the development of robust backend systems and maintain scalable data pipelines and storage solutions.

- Code Quality: Promote high standards in coding, application testing, and maintenance.

What You'll Need
- Experience: At least 10 years in software development with a focus on Java, Kotlin, Scala, or C#.
- Big Data Expertise: Proficient with big data technologies like Hadoop and real-time processing frameworks such as Apache Spark.
- Data Skills: Advanced knowledge of SQL and data architecture.
- Agile Practices: Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies.
- Tools Proficiency: Familiarity with GitLab, Kubernetes, ETLs, and queueing systems like Kafka and RabbitMQ.
It's Great If You Have
- Experience in a modern FinTech or Payments organization.
- Hands-on experience with financial reconciliation, financial reporting, tax, and payout methods like virtual credit cards.
