About the Role
As a Lead Software Engineer for Back End in the FinTech sector at Agoda, you will be at the forefront of transforming travel through financial technology. This role is based in Bangkok, and we provide a comprehensive relocation package to ensure a smooth transition for you and your family.
Responsibilities
- Architect and Develop: Design and implement robust backend systems and scalable data pipelines.

- Collaborate: Work across various teams to drive product and technology goals.

What You Will Need
- Expertise in Backend Development: Proficient in Java, Kotlin, Scala, or C#, with a strong background in developing high-performance applications.
- Experience with Big Data Technologies: Knowledge of Hadoop, Apache Spark, and other real-time processing frameworks.
- Strong SQL and Data Architecture Skills: Ability to manage complex data structures and optimize for performance.
- Agile Methodology: Experience with Scrum or other agile development methodologies.

It's Great If You Have
- Experience in a modern FinTech or Payments organization.
- Hands-on experience with technologies like Spark for data processing, ETLs for data pipelines, and queueing systems like Kafka and RabbitMQ.
- Familiarity with core engineering infrastructure tools like GitLab for source control and Continuous Integration, Kubernetes.
