About the Role
Join Lambda as a Linux Support Engineer I for the 2nd shift, where you will be the first point of contact for all incoming technical support questions. This role involves handling customer interactions with understanding, empathy, and transparency, troubleshooting OS, hardware, and Lambda Stack issues, and providing guidance on the best technical solutions that suit customer needs. You will also route and escalate tickets to appropriate teams and departments while owning customer communication throughout the issue lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Be the first point of contact for technical support inquiries.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to OS, hardware, and Lambda Stack.
- Route and escalate tickets as necessary, maintaining ownership of customer communication.
- Collaborate with the technical writing team to document solutions for future customer self-service.
- Provide feedback to internal teams on technical issues customers are facing.
- Work in a cohesive, customer-first team environment.
Requirements
- Experience in Linux administration in bare-metal, virtualized, and/or cloud environments.
- Familiarity with private or hybrid cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, and/or OCI.
- Proficiency in Shell and Python scripting.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple customer interactions in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with datacenter level hardware, including GPUs.
- Experience with ML / AI / Deep Learning.
- Experience with Zendesk ticketing.
- Flexibility for scheduling as we push for 24/7 support availability.
