Job Overview
Join Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Cloud Support Engineer (Linux) and be at the forefront of cloud technology. As part of the AWS Support team, you will assist a global list of companies and developers leveraging AWS services to run their mission-critical applications. You will act as a 'Cloud Ambassador', helping customers maximize their AWS investment.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Support: Provide solutions to customer issues through various channels such as phone, email, and live chat. Use advanced troubleshooting techniques to resolve complex issues.
- Technical Expertise: Apply your knowledge of Linux/Unix systems, networking concepts, and AWS services to assist customers.
- Collaboration: Work with AWS teams to reproduce and resolve customer issues, and provide feedback to improve AWS services.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest cloud computing technologies and apply them to solve customer problems.
- Process Improvement: Drive projects that enhance support processes and customer experience.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a technical position.
- 2+ years of relevant experience in support or system administration.
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix systems administration.
- Understanding of networking concepts like TCP/IP, DHCP, and IP Routing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with troubleshooting OS issues, SSH, and package management.
- Knowledge of the OSI model and networking protocols.
- Experience with IPsec, VPN, Load Balancing, and network monitoring tools.
- Programming/scripting experience in Java, Perl, Ruby, or Python.
- Strong communication skills in English.

Work Environment
