We are looking for a Machine Learning Scientist III to use Machine Learning to help optimize hundreds of millions of dollars of Marketing spend and to help increase customer long-term value through relevant and engaging interactions. This exciting opportunity would allow you to solve a broad range of high-impact, complex problems using some of the latest Data Science techniques.

What You’ll Do

• Focus on optimizing our bidding strategy within Acquisition channels, a complex and high-impact modeling problem involving data scarcity, rapidly changing trends, and auction dynamic changes.
• Work closely with our Bidding Operations and Meta teams to support our bidding strategy for partners such as Trivago or Google.
• Implement and evaluate new model variants offline and online to continuously improve the overall efficiency of our bidding process.

Who You Are

• You have 3+ years of demonstrated experience in machine learning, building datasets, selecting and engineering features, and building and optimizing algorithms.
• You possess great programming practices and can write readable, performant code.
• You have significant experience in at least one major machine learning programming language (Python, Scala) and are familiar with others.
• You have significant experience with statistics/machine learning packages such as Spark MLlib, Python (scikit-learn, pandas, numpy, scipy, Matplotlib), Keras, TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.
• You have great data manipulation skills, including cleaning and managing data.
• You have intellectual curiosity and a desire to learn new things, techniques, and technologies.

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $173,000 to $192,500 (Upper Third). Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $220,000, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
