About the Role

Expedia Group's Media Solutions team is seeking a talented and experienced Software Development Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Software Development Engineer III, you will play a crucial role in building the world's best travel advertising platform. Our Media Solutions group enables hotels, airlines, and other travel providers to reach travel shoppers with helpful and relevant travel products. We have revolutionized the way brands reach and connect with online travel consumers, and we have emerged as the leader in online travel advertising.

Key Responsibilities

Engineer Scalable Software: Develop scalable, fault-tolerant software for serving ads across all Expedia Group pages.
Implement Holistic Solutions: Create solutions that provide a consistent experience between shopping experiences, focusing on front-end development.
Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with product leaders, designers, and fellow engineers to innovate best-in-class solutions using design systems and UX/XD best practices.
Develop and Test Code: Write outstanding and thoroughly tested code for our platform.
Drive Architectural Decisions: Make key architectural decisions on our systems and their integration with the platform.

Experience and Qualifications

Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS: Strong skills in these core technologies are essential.
Familiarity with Front-End Frameworks: Experience with frameworks such as React or Vue is preferred.
Backend Development: Experience developing backend services, including RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
Cloud Platforms: Experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms, including S3, ECS/Docker, AWS Lambda, CloudFormation, and Kubernetes.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
Experience in Digital Advertising Technology: At least one year of experience in digital advertising technology is preferred.

Location

This position is based in Seattle, Washington, United States, and requires on-site work.

Salary

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is €137,500 to €192,500 per year, with the potential to increase up to €220,000 based on performance.
