Job Overview
Join TomTom as a Medior Platform/SRE Engineer specializing in Go. You will be part of the Service Platform Product Unit, supporting Product Development and IT Service Management to ensure optimal use of tools and services. Your role will involve treating operational issues as software problems, focusing on reliability, availability, scalability, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Scale Systems: Enhance the reliability and scalability of systems in a diverse environment.
- Support Navigation Tooling: Work on the architecture, design, and implementation of systems to improve reliability and efficiency.
- Incident Management: Ensure mission-critical systems maintain 99.9% availability and reliability, and improve Time to Recovery (TTR).
Required Skills and Experience
- Programming: Proficiency in Go and familiarity with modern coding languages such as Python, Java, C++, Scala, and Kotlin.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Experience with cloud-native infrastructure, including Kubernetes on public cloud platforms like Azure or AWS.
- CI/CD and GitOps: Knowledge of CI/CD technologies, source code management (GitHub), and infrastructure automation.
- SRE Best Practices: Understanding of observability, incident management, and Service Level Indicators (SLIs).
- Unix/Linux Systems: Good understanding of Unix/Linux systems and internal operations.
Nice to Have
- Experience with serverless technologies and software-defined operating models.
- Familiarity with IaaS, CaaS, and PaaS.
