About the Role
We are a rapidly growing engineering organization focused on making digital assets accessible to our customers. As our customer base expands and the number of assets we offer increases, we are expanding our core backend teams. Our goal is to drive innovation by designing and implementing cutting-edge low latency services that enable a seamless customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate: Work closely with your Engineering Manager, Staff Engineer, and team to develop highly performant, low latency, and high throughput services.
- Technical Challenges: Tackle technical challenges by building solutions that ensure peak performance across our systems, with a focus on measurements and benchmarking.
- Decision Making: Actively participate in pivotal decisions regarding technology stacks and architecture.
- Operational Rotations: Engage in operational rotations to resolve incidents in our production environment.
Success Criteria
- Experience: 5+ years of development experience.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of low-level JVM & OS concepts, preferably with Kotlin.
- Design Patterns: Solid understanding of programming design patterns and principles.
- Nice to Haves: Experience in a tech-startup/scale-up environment, knowledge of network protocols like TCP and UDP, familiarity with libraries such as Aeron and/or Chronicle Queue, experience with event-driven microservices using Kafka, and experience with the Kubernetes ecosystem and cloud platforms, particularly AWS.
