About the Role

Digital Application & Innovation is a growth opportunity for Microsoft Azure, as well as its partners and customers. It includes a rich portfolio of products including Managed/PaaS services on the Azure Platform, GitHub, and Visual Studio. These technologies empower developers to build, deploy, and manage applications in a cloud-native way.

As a Microsoft Technology Specialist, you will own and win the technical decision of customers. By demonstrating the value of Microsoft’s cloud services, you will help organizations trust Azure for their workloads, tools, and data. As a Technology Specialist in Digital Application & Innovation, you’ll be at the forefront of cloud-native architecture. This means designing systems that fully leverage the unique capabilities of the cloud, such as scalability, automation, and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Own technical discussions with customers leveraging processes and tools, demos, and programs.
• Support the creation of new pipelines in the account team by identifying new opportunities.
• Build technology strategy by mapping the agreed customer business outcomes into an appropriate Azure technology framework.
• Design solutions using your technical knowledge, architect skills, and consulting skills to win a customer’s technical decision.
• Scale through partner by engaging in partner sell-with scenarios to carry out technical engagement activities.
• Be the Trusted advisor and be proactive to find and understand customers’ pain points.
• Maintain and grow expertise in developer tools, cloud-native architecture, and technologies.

Qualifications

Required

• Proficient in developing cloud-native applications using Azure services and tools.
• Relevant years of technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience.
• Proficient in modern development practices and frameworks, especially C# and Java.
• Expert in container technologies for application deployment and management.
• Skilled in creating and presenting MVPs, POCs, and demos to clients.

Preferred

• Significant experience in developing cloud-native applications using Azure services and tools.
• Experience in working with containers and Kubernetes, preferably with AKS.
• Experience in using PaaS services like Azure App Services, API Management, Logic Apps, and Service Bus.
• Certifications in Azure Developer Associate and Azure DevOps Engineer Expert are preferred.

Technologies

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Expertise in deploying and managing infrastructure through code using Azure DevOps and GitHub.
• Frameworks: Familiar with CAF (Cloud Adoption Framework) and WAF (Well-Architected Framework) for designing and implementing cloud-native solutions.
• Microsoft Azure: In-depth knowledge of Azure services and features for cloud-native development.
