Platforms Engineer (Mobile Apps)

Job Purpose

We are seeking a Platforms Engineer (Mobile Apps) to join our Technology Platforms Delivery group. This role requires experience in managing deployments through third parties, driving and explaining the delivery of mass-scale service provider connectivity for Android & iOS Apps, Web, Care, and related microservices/APIs in an ecosystem (home gateway, video STB, WiFi mesh) and complementary services with high quality and in a timely fashion.

In This Role, You Will

• Champion deployment overseeing its success and enable Liberty Global to provide a best-in-class in-home OneConnect experience.
• Maintain relationships with our markets, internal teams, and technology partners, ensuring well-informed guidance for deployments.
• Ensure and analyze the success of Android & iOS App, Web, Care, and related microservices deployments, ensuring business requirements are met and delivered via key technology partners.
• Align with architects on the demand architecture versus technology partners' execution of our strategy.

Key Accountabilities

• Act as a subject matter expert in connectivity deployment, overseeing new release trials and deployment for the OneConnect ecosystem across multiple markets.
• Ensure performance and quality delivered by technology partners is high and deployed timely with minimal customer impact.
• Provide insights on market-specific requirements, performance indicators, and trends.
• Stay on top of market-specific roadmaps, regulatory, privacy, and security compliance topics.
• Review proposed product and technical user stories.
• Track product and technical readiness through the delivery workflow.
• Act as the principal technical interface and subject matter expert towards Liberty Global’s markets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with market partners, suppliers, and other departments within Liberty Global.

Knowledge & Experience

Essential Skills & Abilities:

• Proven experience with the delivery of sophisticated technology projects in telecommunications, cable, and/or media industries.
• Proven track record with software development and related project delivery activities.
• Deep knowledge in debugging, troubleshooting, and analysis of sophisticated software systems.
• Data analytics with skills in data visualization tools such as Kibana & Grafana.
• Substantial technical knowledge in successfully deploying Android & iOS applications, microservices, and APIs.

• Experience working in an international, diverse, and distributed team environment.

• Ability to engage effectively at all levels of an organization up to VP level.

Preferred Education/Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree level or equivalent in a STEM subject.
